Q: Why can’t I login?
Input problems:
Make sure you are using lower case, no spaces
Make sure you use proper login ‘type’ ie – customer, supplier or reseller.
System Problems:
Adventure Engine will NOT operate properly on Netscape browsers
And may not operate on older versions of Mozilla Firefox and Safari browsers
Internet Explorer works and comes default with Windows /IBM or you can download it for free. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/default.mspx (you then pick the appropriate version for the platform you are using). To find out what platform your computer uses go to <start>, <my computer>, <view system details>
Forgot Password:
Click on the ‘forgot password’ link in the login page. You will be prompted to enter your email address and answer your security question and a NEW password will be automatically generated and emailed to you. A new password is issued for security purposes.

Q: I’m not showing up in Keyword search?
To appear in a keyword search, you need to have entered that word in the <enter keywords> section of your trip description page. If you have loaded a ‘hiking’ trip and chosen hiking as your main activity, you must also enter the word ‘hiking’ in your keywords field. Keywords entered by the end user will only match up with keyword you have entered. They will NOT match up with activities you have chosen.

Q: How do I make my trip Not Book-able through the system?
To mark trips “Not Bookable” enter price as 0 on the “Edit Trip” screen. We do not recommend this however. Adventure Engine is a booking engine that will serve you best if you enter trips, seats and dates that can be purchased by the end user.

Q: I run my trip daily. How do I enter this?
Enter your trip as a weekly occurrence and check off every day.

Q: I’m having problems loading my photo’s?
Photo’s should be 320 pixels wide X 240 pixels high. Most photo software will give you the option to size a photo through framing it up to the specifications above. Size your photo, save it as a jpeg and insert.
To change a photo, click change photo, click on the blank field, and click ‘browse’. All digital camera photos should load for you.
Do not use spaces, numbers or any non-text symbols in your photo file name.

Q: The link to my website is not working.
All www. website addresses must begin with http://

Q: My prices are not entering properly on my trips?
There are two areas where you enter trip price for a given trip. Make sure you enter the same price in both places. Do not try to use the dollar sign symbol ‘$’ when entering your price

Q: Do You only have Canadian Prices?
Yes our system is based on Canadian currency, here’s a currency conversion site to help you figure out the prices. www.xe.com. Please enter your trip price in Canadian $$. (Multi currency conversion and availability is coming soon!)

Q: Why are there editing buttons on the left of my trip dates and edit buttons on the bottom?
Left Menu
The editing menu on the left allows you to make any ‘text’ changes such as general description, itinerary, gear list, keywords, activity categories etc that will reflect in all occurrences of that trip. ‘Pricing’ or ‘seat availability’ changes will only be reflected in all NEW trip dates you create after making the changes.
You cannot change price or seat availability on existing trip dates using the left menu.
Bottom Menu
The editing menu on the bottom allows you to make changes to individual trip dates (one date at a time). Example = change prices only on your December dates.
You cannot change the price on any trips with seats that have been sold.

Q: How do I change the Booked and Available seats showing in my trip summary page?
Booked Seats:
You can never change the booked fields of a trip. You can remove seats by selling them in a system sale (credit card) of an offline sale (cash or trade). If you have genuinely made an error by selling seats for the wrong trip please contact clientcare@adventureengine.com and we will adjust the error in the back end of the system.
Seat Availability (trip size):
If you have already sold a seat on a trip date you want to adjust, you can add to seat availability or you can reduce the max seats down to the number of booked seats only one trip date at a time.

If you have not sold any seats yet, you can add or remove seats one trip date at a time. Check the box beside the date you want to edit and adjust accordingly using the blue editing buttons at the bottom of the trip occurrences (trip dates)

Although you can delete multiple trip occurrences at a time, you can only edit one at a time using the menu buttons at the bottom of the trip dates
In some cases it may be faster to delete all occurrences (as long as they have no seats sold) and then re-enter new trip dates, times and prices. Check off the boxes beside all trip dates you wish to delete and delete using the blue edit buttons at the bottom of your trip dates. Then go to add dates & times from the editing menu on the left.

Q: How do I change the dates or times in a trip?
Currently you can change dates for one trip occurrence at a time using the menu at the bottom of your trip dates
Go to your trip summary page and click on trip to see details
Check off box to the left of the trip date you want to change
Click <change start date / time> at the bottom of your screen

If you use the menu at the left, the changes will only be reflected in any NEW trip dates you create.

Q: How do I change trip prices?
You cannot increase the price of a trip occurrence if a seat has already been sold. To decrease the price, create hot seats. If no seats have been sold, then you can increase or decrease the price of one trip dates at a time.
Go to your trip summary page
Click on trip to see details
Check off box to the left of the trip date you wish to change and click <edit seats> from the menu on the bottom
If you use the menu at the left, the changes will only be reflected in any NEW trip dates you create.

Q: How do I edit/delete my offline sales?
You cannot delete offline sales because they affect other parts of the booking and billing program. If you have made a genuine input error, please contact clientcare@adventureengine.com and we will adjust the error in the back end of the system.

Q: How do I edit/delete my hot seats?
Go to your trip summary page
Click on trip to see details
select ADD/EDIT from the hot seat column
You cannot remove a hot seat that has been sold but you can remove hot seats that have not been sold.
Note: All trip seat adjustments are tracked. Excessive adjustments will be monitored and abuse of the system may result in termination of agreement and removal from system.
