Enjoy our extended and complete version of Best of Patagonia. After your visit to El Calafate, El Chalten and Torres del Paine you will head to the fishers village of Puerto Natales and then to Punta Arenas from where you will continue by land to Ushuaia, crossing the mythic Magellan’s Strait to the Tierra del Fuego Island. The southernmost city will welcome you with its charming atmosphere, provided by the locals, the buildings, the views of the snowcapped mountains, the national park and the Beagle Channel. Trip Itinerary
 

Patagonia remains in the mind of many travelers as the wild, exotic, mysterious, unexplored and virgin beautiful confines of planet Earth. Located in the southern area of South America and shared by Argentina and Chile, it offers terrific sceneries and is considered the pearl of the continent. Ancient breathtaking glaciers; the endless Andes range featuring imposing granite peaks; uninhabited lands; immense colored lakes; savage rivers and remote national parks and reserves that work as sanctuaries for wild fauna like penguins, whales, orcas, sea lions, pumas, deer, foxes; with tons of activities to offer will surely be an unforgettable experience. Bariloche, Route 40, El Calafate, El Chalten, Torres del Paine, Puerto Natales, Ushuaia, Puerto Madryn and Península Valdés are some destinations in this amazing and magical piece of nature called Patagonia.

Itinerary

 

Day 1

 

Upon arrival in El Calafate, you will be taken to your selected hotel. We highly recommend visiting the birds reserve Nimez Lagoon for sunset.

 

Day 2

 

After an early breakfast, you will leave in a full day excursion to Perito Moreno Glacier. Inside Los Glaciares National Park, you will take the route surrounding Lago Argentino where 80km from El Calafate, Perito Moreno Glacier lies imposing with its 60-meter high ice walls. Follow the paths that lead you to face the glacier and get different impressive views of it while continuous detachments and constant ice breaking noises echoes in the site. Return to the hotel in the evening. Restaurants really offer quality and service, we recommend trying the famous "Cordero al Asador".

 

Day 3

 

Breakfast. Day at leisure to enjoy any of the available Optional Tours. We recommend taking the navigation to Upsala & Onelli Glaciers.

 

Day 4

 

Breakfast. Morning bus ride to El Chalten. Upon arrival at noon; accommodation in your selected hotel. Enjoy any of the short visits or walks from the village. We highly recommend preparing your food and backpack for day 4, multiple trekking options are waiting.

 

Day 5

 

Breakfast. Day at leisure to enjoy any of the self guided treks in the area. We recommend taking the path to the feet of Mount Fitz Roy: Laguna Los Tres.

 

Day 6

 

Breakfast. Day at leisure to enjoy any of the self guided treks in the area. We recommend taking the navigation across Viedma Lake and trekking over Viedma Glacier.

 

Day 7

 

Breakfast. Day at leisure to enjoy any of the self guided treks in the area. We recommend taking the path to the feet of Mount Torre: Laguna & Glacier Torre as it takes less time. You will board your bus back to El Calafate at 6pm. Accommodation.

 

Day 8

 

After an early breakfast, you will leave in a full day excursion to Torres del Paine National Park. After a ride of almost 3 hours, you will cross the international border between Argentina and Chile and will continue the tour inside the park. You will visit highlights such as Sarmiento Lake, Amarga Lagoon, Lago Nordenkjold, Pehoe Lake, Salto Chico, Paine's Horns and, finally, Grey Glacier where you will be provided a lunch box included after a short trek to a close lookout point. The tour will leave you at your selected hotel in Puerto Natales.

 

Day 9

 

Breakfast, time at leisure to hang around in Puerto Natales until the departure of your bus to Punta Arenas. Upon arrival, accommodation in your comfortable hotel.

 

Day 10

 

After breakfast, you will take your 12-hour bus to Ushuaia that's crosses the Magellan Strait to Tierra del Fuego Island. Arrival in Ushuaia in the evening. Accommodation.

 

Day 11

 

After breakfast, you will leave in a full day excursion to Tierra del Fuego National Park. Discover the beautiful End of the World in a different way, you will start your excursion trekking off the beaten paths admiring flora and fauna until you reach a bay where kayaks will be waiting for the next leg of your adventure after lunch (provided in the tour). After one hour canoeing Lapataia River and the Beagle channel, return to the hotel.

 

Day 12

 

Breakfast. You will leave from the pier in a morning navigation of the Beagle Channel. You will be taken in a 3 to 4-hour excursion along the channel to get wonderful views of the city from the sea and islands. In the afternoon, you can visit on your own the lookout point of Martial Glacier. Evening to enjoy a drink at Kuar, our preferred bar overlooking the Beagle Channel where the sunset turns to be a unique show.

 

Day 13

 

Breakfast. At appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport or bus terminal.
